Coming to PC Minecraft: Xbox-Style Quick Resume

The Minecraft PC game now offers a version of what is perhaps the best feature on the Xbox Series X|S. The Java and Bedrock versions of Minecraft now have Quick Play, a new feature that lets you return to the game more quickly, according to Mojang.

According to the official Minecraft website, the Minecraft launcher comes pre-installed with Quick Play. You will be able to choose from the launcher your last five worlds, and selecting one will take you directly into that world without requiring you to engage with any of the standard menus or displays you would typically see before logging in.

All five slots in the oldest world will eventually run out, but you can pin individual worlds and set them to Quick Play. In the event that a world is taken out of Quick Play, you can still access it normally.

Although it can be disabled by going to the launcher’s settings, players won’t need to do anything to use this function. The player’s PC is where all Quick Play-related data will be kept, nowhere else. Only the Quick Play data will be erased if you choose to disable this option; the entire world will remain unaltered.
